True Self Coaching Can Help You Create The Life You Want

How ‘True Self’ Coaching Can Help You Create The Life You Want

You’ve probably heard it a thousand times: “Just be yourself!” But what does that even mean? And how can you actually do it?

The truth is, being your true self is one of the most challenging things you can do. It’s also one of the most rewarding. When you’re living in alignment with your authentic self, life just flows. You’re more successful, happier, and healthier and feel connected to yourself and everything around you.

Let’s be honest, though. It’s not always easy to get to that place of authenticity. We live in a world that is constantly trying to tell us who we should be and what we should do. It can be tough to tune out the noise, connect to your Higher Self and listen to your own inner voice.

In this article, we’ll explore what it means to be your true self and how holistic coaching can help you get there.

What is Your ‘True Self’ and Why is it Important?

Before we take a look at the meaning of ‘true self’ coaching, let’s explore what we mean by this term. The APA Dictionary of Psychology defines the term ‘true self‘ as the “totality of an individual’s potentialities that could be developed under ideal social and cultural conditions“. In other words, it is the authentic version of oneself that is not influenced or limited by outside forces.

It is obvious that we’ll always be influenced by outside forces to a certain extent. However, if we’re not aware of our true potential, we may end up living a life that is far from what we are capable of.

Your true or authentic self is the part of you that is most in alignment with your deepest values, desires, and aspirations. It is the “you” that you are meant to be.

From a holistic point of view, the true self also includes the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of who you are. You want to feel great in your physical body, have confidence in yourself, connect to your spirit, and have awareness of how your circumstances are affecting your emotions.

The challenge is that we live in a world that often tells us the opposite of what our true selves need. We are bombarded with messages telling us to diet, buy things we don’t need, compare ourselves to others, and work harder and longer hours than ever before. It’s no wonder that so many of us feel disconnected from our authentic selves and think happiness depends on external factors.

Expressing Your True Self is Crucial For Well-Being

There is a lot of evidence to support the idea that finding and expressing your true self is crucial to being happy and psychologically healthy. Different theories all come to the same conclusion, that if you lose touch with your true self it will lead to misery. So it makes sense that discovering your real self is related to well-being. It’s a self-discovery journey that is worth taking. When you access your inner wisdom and are aware of who you really are, let go of expectations, determine your passion, and realize you have everything you need within you – that’s when true joy begins.

The true self-concept can be defined as the cognitive schema that represents the aspects of oneself that one considers to be most emblematic of their true nature. However, it is possible for an individual’s assessment of their true self to differ from what other people perceive as their “real” true self. It’s not about what society or others think of you, but rather what you believe to be true about yourself.

Rediscovering who you really are is an individual journey that can be supported by a holistic life coach.

What is ‘True Self’ Coaching?

Now that we have a better understanding of what the term means, let’s take a look at what ‘true self’ coaching entails. This type of holistic life coaching is all about helping individuals to connect with their authentic selves and to live a life that is in alignment with their deepest values, desires, and aspirations.

The goal of ‘true self’ coaching is to help individuals create a life that is authentic and fulfilling. The process of ‘true self’ coaching involves exploring different areas of one’s life, such as relationships, career, health, spirituality, etc. In order to reconnect with their true selves, individuals need to become aware of the areas of their lives that are out of alignment. Once they are aware of these areas, they can start making changes that will help them live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

‘True self’ coaching can help individuals in many different ways. Some of the benefits include increased well-being, improved physical health, improved relationships, and greater life satisfaction.

If you’re not living a life that is in alignment with your true self, it’s likely that you feel stuck, unfulfilled, and unhappy. Authentic Self Coaching can help you get in touch with your authentic self so that you can create a life that is more aligned with who you really are.

Through this type of holistic coaching, you will learn how to:

  • Identify and express your true self
  • Set goals that are in alignment with your true self
  • Create a life plan that reflects your authentic self
  • Overcome obstacles that are preventing you from living your true life

Do You Really Need a Coach to Rediscover Your True Self?

No, you don’t need a coach to rediscover your true self. However, working with a coach can be very beneficial. A holistic coach can provide support, guidance, and accountability as you journey toward discovering your true self.

A whole-person coach can help you to identify the areas of your life that are out of alignment and support you as you make changes to create a more authentic and fulfilling life. A coach can also help you to set goals and create a plan of action that will help you move closer to your true self.

On my own journey, I’ve found that working with coaches was and still is incredibly helpful. A lot of highly educated and driven women over 35 feel like something is missing in their lives, even though on paper they have everything they could ever want: a successful career, a good relationship, a beautiful home, etc.

The truth is that we can’t always figure everything out on our own. We need help and guidance from others who have been where we are. There is nothing more beautiful than feeling supported by somebody who can not only guide us back to our true selves but also provide us with the tools and resources we need to make the changes we desire.

Believing that there are life coaches who can actually help you might be the most important first step on your holistic personal development journey. Many ambitious women have a hard time admitting that they need help. We want to figure everything out on our own and we probably know what we should do on an intellectual level. We’ve read all the books, we are not afraid to take action, and we are very successful in other areas of our lives.

And yet, when it comes to making significant changes in our lives that will lead us to our true selves, we often feel lost and don’t know where to start. We’re tired of doing everything ourselves and are longing for someone to show us the way.

If you feel like you’re stuck and don’t know where to turn, I encourage you to reach out to a coach who can help you on your journey.

How To Find a Good ‘True Self’ Coach

If you’re considering working with a coach, choose somebody who is a good fit for YOU. There are many self-proclaimed coaches out there who are more than happy to take your money but aren’t necessarily invested in your success. They offer overpriced programs and services that promise that you can magically manifest the life of your dreams by changing your thoughts and believing that you are worth it.

Pay attention to what they have actually accomplished in their own lives. Do they walk their talk? Are they living the life they say you can have?

When you’re looking for a holistic coach, it’s important to do your research and make sure that the coach you’re working with is somebody who you can trust and who has your best interests at heart.

In my opinion, sustainable soul-aligned transformation takes time, effort, and commitment to create lasting change in your life. The process of rediscovering your true self can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be hard. You might need to let go of old beliefs and behaviors that are no longer serving you. You might need to make some changes in your life that feel uncomfortable at first. But the rewards are more than worth it.

And it starts with getting in touch with your truest self.
